Boston Micromachines Corporation is seeking a creative, self-motivated candidate to help coordinate and execute the company's marketing and sales programs. The Marketing and Sales Associate will work directly with the Vice President of Marketing and Sales and Marketing and Sales Engineer to coordinate events and be responsible for marketing materials as well as serve as the  customer point-of-contact, assisting with direct sales to prospective customers and first level technical support. This is a full-time position. This position is a perfect fit for ambitious candidates who either want to begin a career in a challenging, rewarding, technical environment focused on marketing and sales or continue their current marketing and/or sales career in a technology-rich environment.


 Marketing Responsibilities

  • Participate in the maintenance of marketing materials to support the company's sales and marketing efforts
  • Coordinate preparation and execution of national and international trade shows and conferences, including special events
  • Evaluate and execute advertising and sponsorship opportunities as necessary  
  • Prepare press releases and event announcements
  • Maintain website and keep social media content updated, newsworthy and accurate


 Sales/Support Responsibilities

  • Serve as customer sales point-of-contact
  • Maintain email contact with potential customers in various scientific fields
  • Create, coordinate, and distribute personalized and mass communications as necessary
  • Provide general administrative marketing support as needed


 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field OR Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering with a strong interest in Marketing and Sales
  • 0-3 years B2B marketing or sales experience
  • The ability to understand technical applications and match to product capabilities
  • Strengths of paying attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, high level of energy, and a dedicated work ethic
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and think creatively and independently under pressure
  • Interest or experience in event/tradeshow or logistics planning
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office
