Boston Micromachines Corporation, a small high-tech company, is seeking a MEMS Technician to work in the production, test and assembly of its award winning optical MEMS devices.  Boston Micromachines is a leading provider of advanced optical systems for use in biotech, medical, astronomical, and laser applications.  Customers include leading optical manufacturers, governmental agencies, and research laboratories worldwide.

The specific job responsibilities will depend on the candidate’s experience and skill set, but will include:

  • Inspect wafers/dies and document results and/or issues
  • Perform various wafers/dies issues data collection
  • Safely handle delicate products, follow safety and process instructions
  • Work in clean-room environment
  • Review and properly execute test plans provided by the Production Team
  • Coordinate, monitor, and follow priorities of production/test activity
  • Perform quality checks on die and subassemblies
  • Prepare reports as needed or requested by the Engineering Team


The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in a clean room/fab environment
  • Background with electronics
  • Comfort with wafer and die handling
  • Experience with measurement tools 
  • Quality assurance understanding
  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment

Applicants should be highly motivated and have solid written and verbal communication skills.

Location:

         Cambridge, MA, accessible by public transportation
